Laceeze announce partnership with Grassroots Football UK
Grassroots Football UK is literally the voice of Grassroots Football, proudly representing the grassroots community in the United Kingdom. Our partnership with Grassroots Football UK is a huge step for Laceeze because it will allow us to expose our brand to their highly engaged audience and help solve the problem of laces coming undone during sport on a much wider scale.
In their own words, they don’t work with brands they don’t believe in.
We met virtually with Paul Kirton, Managing Director of Grassroots UK, during the last lockdown and he was so impressed by our Laceeze boot lace bands that he choose to work with us. Not only were they impressed with the product solution for children’s boot laces, they liked the fact we were giving something back to the community through the Laceeze Foundation.
The Laceeze Foundation is a charitable initiative created by us to help encourage children from underprivileged backgrounds into sport, by donating funds to those who would be unable to participate in their chosen activity without financial assistance. 25p from every purchase of Laceeze bands bought directly from our website is donated to the foundation.
This was always something which we wanted to do with the business but we wanted to wait until the brand was established. Seeing so many grassroots’ clubs in financial trouble made us realise that, although it won’t be the biggest initiative initially, every little helps and this will grow with our company.
We approached Grassroots Football UK about establishing a partnership due to the obvious synergy between their products and our audience. The response was fantastic and they were delighted to help support a growing UK based business, with a genuine passion for supporting grassroots sport at its heart.
Paul Kirton, Managing Director of Grassroots Football UK, comments: “After speaking to the fantastic Emma and Paula I was hooked by the story I heard of two footy mums identifying a problem of never ending lace tying during games, specifically in the foundation age within grassroots’ football. Instead of saying someone should do something about it they got their heads together and came up with a solution. We are thrilled to be working together for the 21/22 season.”
